History

This school, originally known as ‘Anand Vidya Mandir, Kahatul’ was founded in the year 1965, by Shri Dullabh Sanbhu Patil, who was the President of Shikshan Prasarak Mandal of Kahatul. It was started with standard 8 and grew organically to standard 9 and 10 in the following years. Classes for Standards 5 to 8 were added during the years 1968 and 1970. All the standards became eligible for government funding.

The school was merged in Shahada Education Society in the year 1972 and additional divisions were added to all the standards. The school added the Jr College in 1994-95 which became eligible for government funding in 1998-99.

The school received a large donation from Shri Laxman Rupaji Patil, in the memory of his mother and was renamed Karmayogi Yashodama Rupaji Patil Vidya Mandir, Kahatul.
