Vadali a village located about 20 kms from Shahada, with a major population of Gosavi Community. In the year 1951, two forward looking Gosavi families of Shri Babugir Gosavi and Shri Tapigir Gosavi joined hands to create a secondary school in Vadali. Bubugir's sons Hilalgir, Motigir, Dhanrajgir, Jagangir and Magangir as well Tapigir's sons Putushottamgir, Madhavgir, Sahebgir, Vinayakgir, Gangagir and Narayangir jointly donated Rs 11000/- to start the School for standard 8 to standard 10, and named it 'Nutan Vidya Mandir'. In the spirit of a Diversified Independent India, all communities joined the noble cause. The Gosavi community offered the 'Kotha Bunglow' and the Mali community offered 'Madhi' to accommodate the school classes. Other eminent people from village like Dasharath Tila Patil, Bhika Khushal Sonavane, Rajaram Gajmal Jagtap and others offered other necessary support to run the school.
The school was establish in 1959 and named G. S. Vidya Mandir (Gulabgiri Saraswatigiri Vidya Mandir) to increase its capacity and reach. The school now provide education in standard 5 to standard 12, with semi english for Standard 5.
Many residents of Vadali have contributed to the School's growth. Today it boasts of its own 1 Crore Building with all modern facilities of education to the children from villages nearby Vadali. The school represents an excellent example of what the United Diversity of India can do.
